Winter in Kensington

Princes Park Touch has grown over its 16 seasons to become the biggest single night competition in Victoria. This year our Winter competition will again be based at J Holland Park in Kensington.

We are a Wednesday night competition, all divisions are mixed which suits our social atmosphere, with our lower grades ideally suited for beginner teams. Grading is decided on ability, the first two rounds are used to assess team grading and further regrading is done to ensure even competition across our grades.

We have excellent facilities and after running up a sweat, players then socialise over a couple of drinks and a barbeque located in the pavilion next to the fields or at the Hardimans Hotel (our Winter sponsors).

Start date and game times

The season will start early May (date to be confirmed). Games times will be at 6:30, 7:20, and 8:10 and 9 pm.

Grades

Only Mixed: Social A, B and C (beginner) grades – 3 males and 3 females.

Cost per Team

The total team is $1,290 for the season. The entry fee covers all costs, fields, referees, insurance, equipment and the Touch Football Australia (TFA Victoria) affiliation fee.  As all teams play a full season of 14-15 full length matches with no byes, this is the longest season in Melbourne. Total costs will be split between a deposit of $490 payable before the start of the season and the residual due before week 5. Please note it is team captains responsibility to ensure all fees are paid in full once the competition commences.

Payment can be made via EFT on request or by cheque/money order.

Format

The competition runs for 16 weeks. the first two weeks being grading, followed by 12 weeks of round robin play and 2 weeks of finals for all teams.  All matches will be full length, consist of 2 X 20 min halves with a 5-minute break. Modified TFA rules will apply.
