Season draw and format
A draw for week 4 is out, and teams have been graded into preliminary grades

However there will be further regrading right up to the Christmas break (the approximate half way point of the season), to ensure even competition.

Starting Promptly
Unfortunately we are not allowed to use the lights (due to a promise made by council min July). This is ridiculous but we must live with it. As such it is important for teams (especially those playing at 6) to be on time and at the right field (if you are not sure check the website or the desk).

Pub Sponsor
The Great Northern Hotel and Princes Park Touch have joined forces and a free voucher entitling the team to a jug of beer at Great Northern Hotel will be offered for every game played.

Nestled in North Carlton’s leafy Rathdowne Street, the Great Northern Hotel boasts a prime location. Founded in 1883, the Great Northern features one of Melbourne’s largest decked beer gardens, providing the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy one of the city’s best beer lists, with twenty two taps, and tuck into some outstanding food.

  • One voucher per team per night
  • vouchers only valid on the night of competition

Uniforms
Having teams in proper uniforms is essential to playing and refereeing touch. Teams are reminded of our uniform policy. From next week will start penalizing teams tries for players out of uniform. More info is available here: https://princesparktouch.com/faq/

Photos
At PPT we love our photo’s so you will see me wandering around the grounds, all photos team photos are published to the website and then automatically copied across to the facebook page so go there there, like Princes Park Touch and tag away!

Additional Players
I still have a few that I’d like to place so if you need some extra players please let me know. Teams shouldn’t be struggling for players when we have so many people keen to get involved.

BBQ
We have secured storage so this week should signal the return of the PPT BBQ, come and get yourself a snag.

Signing In
Captains please ensure your team sign the sign on sheets next to the field, this covers your for insurance and number of games are recorded for finals eligibility.

Registrations
This season in order to complete the registration of each player in our competition we require their full name, a unique email address, date of birth, and their suburb. Most captains have included this info for their teams in the rego form. But if anything was lacking our secretary/treasurer Brad Chant will be in touch to make sure each captain has sent through a full team list.
