PPT Week 2 and beyond

All,

This is week 2 of our competition but due to the phased start this year for many this will be the first week. As such we need all our teams on board with a few things. The first and most important is:

Location

As advised this year Princes Park Touch is actually located 500 metres west of our usual grounds in Royal Park. Last week we had 4 fields all on lawn 7 but this  week we will have 6 fields split across lawn 7 (west of the zoo) and Brens Oval (east of the Zoo).

With limitted daylight this time of year we need to start on time and do not want people going to the wrong fields. So please make you have checked this map:

The map has the layout of all our fields and information on public transport, parking and other facilities. So I strongly suggest that if you have not checked it already, you and your team familiarise yourself with it.

Fields

The field marking last week on fields 1 to 4 was poor and this week the marking on those fields will be worse. Council have apologised and advised that from next week (week 3), all fields will be marked with dark blue marker that will be much more visible and will be fade resistant.

Pub Sponsor

PPT is about social touch so socialising with your friends and other teams is as important as the game. As such the Great Northern Hotel and Princes Park Touch have again joined forces and a voucher entitling the team to a free jug of beer at Great Northern Hotel will be offered to every team every week (ask the referee).

Nestled in North Carlton’s leafy Rathdowne Street, and founded in 1883, the Great Northern features one of Melbourne’s largest (and best) beer gardens, providing the perfect spot to unwind while enjoying one the city’s best beer lists and some outstanding food.  We are the social competition so get into the social spirit and get along to the pub.

  • One voucher per team per night
  • vouchers only valid on the night of competition

Membership

As previously mentioned we need every player registered as members.  So if you do not yet have a completed team list please collect details for all your players and send them through.
Also please ensure you and all your team have read and understand the FAQ on the website: https://princesparktouch.com/membership/
It is a condition of membership but more importantly has vital information for both players and team captains.
