Guys,

This week brings us to week 15 of 17.  Unfortunately I was unable to secure an extra field this week but I am confident that I will have secure additional space next week so hopefully all teams can play for the last two weeks! Either way every team will get at least 14 games (the most in Melbourne touch), some teams might get more.

All grades are extremely even coming into the last round, with most teams are still in the finals hunt. However even if you miss finals,  everyone will play through to week 17 (subject to byes if I cannot secure extra space), with teams not playing finals playing off in friendlys.

Due to its large size C grade (formed from the bottom half of B/C grade) have a three week finals series which starts this week

Week 16 and 17

Are semi final and grand final weeks for teams making finals. Because we have limited daylight there is no extra time at RPT. In the event of a draw on full time the higher placed teams are awarded the win in finals matches. But remember teams missing the finals will play off for minor ladder positions in friendly matches (although its all friendly at RPT).

Start times

As the days are now getting shorter we have now reverted back to a 6PM kickoff for our first time slot.

Uniforms

Our uniform policy is now in place. More info at the: FAQ. I’d suggest using a permanent marker rather than taping on numbers as if the tape falls off you can be penalised and this could determine the match.

Sign on Sheets

Because of the pressure on grounds we need to be able to show council where our players are from. For this reason I’ve added player suburb and email address to the sign on sheets. I’ll have these details copied across from team rego form next week but players need to fill out all this info this week. Sign on sheets cover you for insurance so they are important.

Great Northern Hotel

Most importantly hang around for a snag from our BBQ or get down to the Great Northern and have a drink in the beer garden. Every week the referees have beer vouchers available so whether you win or lose ask  the referee on your field after the match and he should have one for your team. Social touch is what RPT is all about!

See you on the field

Pete
