Team captains

This is just a general update to let you all know about some important things.

Draws and grading

Draws are available here: https://princesparktouch.com/social-competition/.

After completion of the first two week  of grading rounds the competition has been split into 3 pools, based on results during grading. Teams will play other teams in those pools for the next 5 rounds (until the end of November) before those pools are split into 5 or 6 grades for the rest of the season.

Teams may be regraded between those pools during that time but games are from now on for competition points that will determine your position at the end of season in the final grades formed. At RPT we emphasise social touch football and one of the components is that teams are closely matched. Therefore the need to juggle our grades early in the season.

Uniforms penalties begin next week (week 4)

We have received some questions about uniforms and what constitutes a uniform at RPT. For the first 7 rounds the only requirement is that a team is clothed in tops (t-shirt, polo, etc) of a similar colour. The tops do not need to be the same but they do need to be close enough in colour and design that the referee can tell players are on the same team.

Teams may be penalised for players not in uniform. The penalty will be in the form of tries per player not clothed in matching top awarded to the non offending team (up to a maximum of 2 tries).

After (week 7) the same policy applies to unique numbers on the back, numbers can be in taped on but they must be legible to the referee.

BBQ and Great Northern Hotel

This year we are sponsorred again by the Great Northern Hotel.  Every week we give out drink vouchers for for a free jug for you to enjoy in the Great Northern’s sensational beer garden, please ask the referee for your voucher  and enjoy the social side of our comp.
