Referee/contribution policy

Princes Park Touch is a touch football community.

To further our community we have a requirement thats teams that play in our highest A/B grades contribute to the community. The best way is to have a referee on the team (or associated with the team) or commit to qualify a referee over the season they enter.

The committment on the part of that referee is flexible, they will be paid for any games they referee or if they do the course it will be at a time convenient to them and we will pay for that course.

We look after our referees and have good referee numbers. However,  we have found from experience that teams that have a referee on the team understand our social spirit, we also want to build refereeing depth, and believe that experienced teams should give something back to the sport.

To clarify:

  • This will only be required of teams in our top (A/B) grade
  • We will excuse teams from this requirement, if they are making a substantial contribution to our community in other ways.
